Lucky Lucy!

I would like you all to meet my LUCY.
LUCY is a Jersey X heifer that we rescued from a dairy farm that was getting rid of all their Jersey calves. Hubby was working on this dairy farm for a few weeks (that is a whole other story) and rang me up and told me that when I came to pick him up we would have an extra passenger.
When I first saw those beautiful big brown eyes I was sold (that’s Lucy’s big, brown eyes not Hubby’s).
So picture this, if you can…..
Here we are in my little Hyundai Hatchback car with a hog tied calf in the boot tootling off down the highway for our five hour drive home, and telling son in the back seat to keep an eye on her and to gently push her back down if she tried to stand up.
We reached the next town and decided to buy something for dinner…ended up at the KFC drive-through and was placing our order when Lucy let out an extremely loud Mooooooo….the look on the attendants face was priceless.
Thank goodness it wasn’t a Macdonald’s drive-through or my Lucy could have ended up as a happy meal!

Oh my gawd — this is so funny. You’re kidding, right? I couldn’t get past the hog-tying stuff to begin with, but the KFC? I can only imagine. Sounds like something we would do — if we had a cow. And those eyes are gorgeous!
No Kelly I am not kidding..you will soon realize that I am not called the “MAD” goat lady for nothing. Madness is my middle name LOL
